FROM 1859 TO THE PRESENT DAY, A HISTORY THAT WE ALL SHARE

The International Red Cross Museum in Castiglione delle Stiviere (MN), Mantua, Italy, traces the origins and evolution of the most important international humanitarian organisation and documents the Risorgimento roots of modern Italy.

An extraordinary journey, among testimonies of the past, voices of the present and interactive technologies, which begins at the Museum and continues among the hills of Solferino, the scene of a battle and an idea destined to change history.

THE COLLECTIONS

The MICR holds a heritage that tells the history and activities of the Red Cross from its inception to the present day.

The collections coexist with permanent and temporary exhibitions on topical issues, in a constant dialogue with the present.

A MUSEUM TO EXPERIENCE

Guided tours, workshops, in-depth tools and multimedia content, educational projects, meetings and exhibition events.

It is a cultural offering aimed at soliciting participatory processes and sharing with the public, institutions and the territory.
