GROUPS

Visiting the MICR is an immersive experience, which is further enriched by sharing.
Whether you are a company, an association or a group of friends, the International Red Cross Museum is an opportunity to discover the birth of an idea and a movement based on humanitarian values and principles with which we can all identify.

A journey through time and history, but also an opportunity for exchange and reflection, in the company of Red Cross volunteers and with the support of multimedia content and interactive technologies. Therefore the visit becomes an unforgettable collective memory.

GUIDED TOURS

The MICR organises guided tours to accompany groups to discover the origins of the Red Cross. On request, more specialised visits can be arranged, focusing on the evolution of relief, the inception of International Humanitarian Law, the history of medicine, the role of women in humanitarian work, health and prevention.

Guided tours take place by reservation for groups of up to 25 people maximum.
For standard visits, the fares are as follows:
Guided tour in Italian: €60, in addition to the ticket price
Guided tour in English/French/German: €100, in addition to the ticket price

Groups of 10 to 25 people can benefit from a reduced rate.

THE MUSEUM AND BEYOND

The MICR stands on the site of the Battle of Solferino and the events that led to the inception of the Red Cross. An area rich in history, culture and nature, where you can extend your visit, just a few kilometres from Lake Garda and cities of art such as Mantua and Verona.

In addition to the guided tour, the Museum organises themed itineraries in the historic centre of Castiglione delle Stiviere, at the Fortress, at the Museum of the Risorgimento of Solferino and San Martino and in the places of the battle, at the Red Cross Memorial and at monuments and places of historical-artistic and natural interest in the Lands of Alto Mantovano.
